Series: Any Questions? (Episode 6)

28 August 2022

Acts 17:16-34

Is the Bible enough? Why should we bring in references to other resources when we have a book that came from God? Or should we? Pastor Jenn talks about playing Hide and Seek with Jesus and shows us the Apostle Paul doing just that.

Scripture Reading: Mark Bertrand

Message in a Basket: Ray Petrelli

Main Message: Pastor Jenn (Rev Jennifer A G Layte)

——————-

Central Baptist Church has an active capital campaign to restore key aspects of our historic 1860’s era building. This is partly for the historic value, but even more so we can more faithfully serve the community where God has placed us, using the resources God has given us. If you would like to participate in this good work, please visit our website, cbcsouthbridge.org, and designate your gift to “Ezra’s Purse.” Thank you.

Series: Any Questions? (Episode 4)

14 August 2022

1 Corinthians 16:1-4; 1 Timothy 5:17-18; 6:3-10*

Is it sketchy to pay for spiritual care? Or is it absolutely the right thing to do? How giving money to the church and ministry is less about obedience and more about becoming more like Jesus–in humility, compassion, and generosity.

*Unfortunately our livestream and recording were both cut off during this service. The youth group’s message in a basket was captured on a separate camera, and the regular recording system was reactivated in time for the sermon, but the rest of this Sunday’s service is not available. We apologize for this.

Series: Any Questions? (Episode 2)

31 July 2022

Luke 2:41-52

Even in a church where questions are welcome, do we need to consider what kinds of questions there are? Why did Jesus ask questions?

The second in a series on questions from the congregation. Apologies to all who join us online: the first is unavailable as we met in our fellowship hall the week prior due to the summer heat. Unfortunately, while there was air conditioning in that space, there was not sufficient recording capability.
